Darby Doan is a partner with Haltom & Doan, and is licensed to practice in state and federal courts in Texas and Arkansas. His primary areas of practice are products liability, business and commercial, class action, pharmaceutical and personal injury litigation. Darby has tried or argued cases in both state and federal courts in Texas and Arkansas. He currently represents such clients as General Motors, AT&T, Sunbeam, Medtronics and Wyeth in class action and individual claims litigation.
Darby is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the Arkansas Bar Association, the Northeast Texas Bar Association, the Southwest Arkansas Bar Association, the Eastern District of Texas Bar Association, the Texarkana Bar Association, and the Texarkana Young Lawyers Association, where he was a founding member and served as an officer from 2002-03. He is a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and a member of the Defense Research Institute, the Arkansas Association of Defense Counsel, and the Texas Association of Defense Counsel. Mr. Doan has recently been selected a Texas Super Lawyer for 2008, 2007 and 2006, and a 2006 Texas Rising Star by Texas Monthly magazine.
Darby is also a Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice in Texas and Arkansas (inactive) and is the past-President of the Texarkana Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
