Jim Haltom is a partner with haltom & doan, practicing throughout the Southwest. His primary areas of litigation practice are product liability, complex commercial and business, class action, catastrophic personal injury, and pharmaceutical litigation. Jim has also practiced in federal courts throughout East Texas as an advocate for numerous clients in intellectual property matters, including Markman hearings. He has represented clients in telecommunication, medical devices, breast implant, drug and product liability litigation, as well as cases involving interference with business relations. Ford, Chrysler and General Motors are just a few clients from Jim’s long list of client representation. Over the years he has also represented the railroad and trucking industries.
Licensed to practice in Texas and Arkansas, he has tried or argued over 300 cases in state and federal courts and the United States Court of Appeals for the 5th, 10th, and 11th Circuits. Along with his extensive trial and appellate experience, Jim has served for years as a litigant-selected and court-appointed mediator in state and federal courts.
Jim evokes a keen sense of trial awareness and preparedness from his vast trial experiences over the years. He offers guidance to attorneys throughout the firm and decisiveness to clients getting ready to try their case.
