Mariah Leigh Hornok joined haltom & doan after practicing for several years as a criminal prosecutor. She has tried or argued dozens of criminal cases and appeals in four different states. Additionally, Mariah served eighteen months as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Michael J. Brown, Jennifer B. Campbell, and Samuel A Thumma, of the Arizona Court of Appeals.

Mariah graduated from John Brown University in 2006, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Human Services. She received her Juris Doctor degree, with honors, from The University of Arkansas at Little Rock-William H. Bowen School of Law in 2011. Mariah is licensed to practice in all Utah, Arizona, Arkansas, and Texas state courts, and admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the District of Utah and the Eastern District of Texas. She is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Eighth Circuits.

Throughout her career, Mariah has handled a variety of intricate litigation. One of the most notable cases was her impressive win in Hiscox Dedicated Corporate Member, Limited v. Suzan E. Taylor on behalf of the defendant whose insurance policy was wrongful rescinded due to material misrepresentations in her insurance application. Mariah is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Utah, Arkansas, and Arizona, the Texarkana Bar Association, and the Texarkana Young Lawyers Association.
